ServiceMaster Premier Restoration Services is seeking a dependable, organized, and hands-on Warehouse Assistant to support our warehouse and daily operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying busy, working with equipment, keeping things organized, and helping multiple departments get what they need to keep operations running smoothly.

The Warehouse Assistant will report to the Warehouse Manager and will assist with warehouse organization, inventory and supplies, company vehicles and equipment, local pickups, and general operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily warehouse operations, organization, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Receive, organize, store, and maintain materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Assist with loading and unloading company vehicles and trailers.
  • Safely operate a forklift as required.
  • Assist with moving and positioning company vehicles.
  • Make daily or scheduled trips around town to pick up materials, supplies, parts, and other company items.
  • Assist with minor maintenance and service needs for company vehicles and equipment, such as replacing light bulbs, windshield wipers, and similar basic items.
  • Inspect warehouse supplies and maintain awareness of inventory levels.
  • Prepare a weekly list of items that need to be replaced or ordered for the warehouse and other company departments.
  • Report damaged, missing, or malfunctioning equipment to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Assist with maintaining company equipment in clean and good working condition.
  • Help prepare equipment and materials for field crews and other departments.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and supply records as directed.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and safe material-handling practices.
  • Assist other departments with warehouse, equipment, supply, and operational needs as requested.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required. ( no DUI, DWI, reckless within the past 5 years, or consecutive infractions)
  • Must meet company standards for an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and maintain eligibility to operate company vehicles.
  • Must successfully pass a background check in accordance with company standards and applicable law. (no felonies, no misdemeanors involving theft, or damages to persons or property)
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift or willingness and ability to complete company-required forklift training and evaluation.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
  • Experience driving and maneuvering a trailer is preferred but not required.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor equipment and vehicle maintenance tasks preferred.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools safely.
  • Basic math skills for inventory counts, supply tracking, and material organization.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work independently while also supporting a team.
  • Professional and responsible when operating company vehicles or conducting company business in the community.
  • Ability to work safely in a physically active warehouse environment.
  • MUST be able to obtain and maintain DOT medical certificate and drive DOT company vehicles.
Physical Requirements

This is an active position requiring regular physical activity throughout the workday. The employee must be able to:

  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Load and unload vehicles, trailers, equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequently bend, squat, kneel, reach, and climb as necessary.
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment and use basic hand tools.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Safely enter, exit, and operate company vehicles as required.
