Position Overview:
As a Water Restoration Technician, you’ll lead water mitigation jobs from start to finish. You'll inspect job sites, perform water extractions and demolition, document work thoroughly for insurance purposes, and communicate clearly with customers throughout the process. You’ll also supervise and guide Water Associates, ensuring safety, efficiency, and top-quality service.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Retrieve work orders, load equipment, and travel to job sites.
• Perform water extraction, demolition, and light construction tasks.
• Conduct daily monitoring and make drying plan adjustments as needed.
• Communicate job progress and next steps to customers using visual aids and documentation.
• Document work with detailed notes and photos for insurance billing.
• Oversee job quality and supervise Water Associates on-site.
• Collect customer approvals and payment when necessary.
• Maintain equipment, report malfunctions, and keep company vehicles clean and stocked.
Requirements & Qualifications:
• Prior experience in restoration or construction required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable using mobile software to document jobs.
• Able to lead projects and instruct team members effectively.
Required Certification:
o IICRC – Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification
Certifications preferred but not required:
o WTR – Water Damage Restoration Technician
o ASD – Applied Structural Drying Technician
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
• Move up to 70 pounds often, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.
• Stand and walk for extended periods of time. Lifting, squatting, crawling and crouching is required.
• Express or exchange ideas with others quickly, receive and act on detailed information given.
• For safety reasons, respirators, which are used in certain situations, must be able to seal to your face
• Use visual acuity to perform detail-oriented activities
• Be exposed to various inside and outside working conditions: The change of environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
