Position Overview
Our growing restoration and construction company is looking for an experienced carpenter to join our team. We specialize in restoration work, as well as residential and light commercial construction. The ideal candidate will have a well rounded knowledge base in light framing, door and window installation, cabinetry, and finish carpentry. Wage varies based on experience, productivity, and quality of work.    
 
Job Responsibilities
  • Capable of reading prints, sketches, and drawings for various projects
  • Assist supervisors when planning/designing structures and installing layouts  
  • Conduct repair work when required 
  • Assess proper quality of materials and woodworks 
  • Ability to operate tools, equipment, and machines
  • Install windows, doors, stairs, cabinets, trim, and various other fixtures
  • Resolve issues with customers, communicates customer issues and daily job activities with key company staff
  • Maintain compliance with local building codes 
  • Ensure safety standards are being followed during all active jobs
  • Ability to problem solving and communicate with customers
  • Must be able to prioritize activities and meet deadlines
  • Experience with entering data using a tablet or mobile phone
 
Job Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
  • Good verbal and written and communication skills
  • Role models customer service expectations with home owners, adjusters, vendors etc.
  • Knowledge of construction industry
  • Proficient with using mobile software to enter data
  • Must be able to prioritize activities and meet deadlines
  • Experience in training and managing others
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Communicates customer issues, job activities with key company staff
 
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Incumbent must be prepared to:
  • Move up to 70 pounds often, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time. Lifting, squatting, crawling and crouching is required.   
  • Express or exchange ideas with others and receive and act on detailed information given.
  • Be exposed to various inside and outside working conditions: The change of environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.

Compensation: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
