The Estimator role is critical for the success of a restoration company, as they are responsible for creating estimates in Xactimate software utilizing the program guidelines and IICRC standards. The ability to self-start, be detailed oriented, adapt and overcome when challenges arise, be a team player, have strong critical thinking skills, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and great communication skills, both verbal and written are a must. Having a basic understanding of building materials, flooring, drywall and other materials affected by wind, water, fire, smoke and other property damage causes will assist in being successful in this position.
Solid computer skills and experience with word, adobe, excel etc... are required. Mitigate, Restore, Xactimate and Xactanalysis knowledge is not required; however, would be beneficial.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Read scopes and create the estimates provided by information gathered by on-site technicians
- Document property loss using jobsite photos and upload into operating system/software
- Writes mitigation, contents and reconstruction estimates using Xactimate and other estimating software
- Communicates conversations and key information on the job using the notes feature in required software
- Estimates using carrier audit standards and manages the estimate based on feedback from client and customer
- Communicates with project manager/lead tech to ensure all required info is complete (photos, notes and documents signed)
- Record of Drying using software
- Determine labor and equipment costs
- Communicate w/ insurance companies, and adjusters via phone and email in a timely manner and acts as a liaison
- Manage all estimate documents and assess project risks
- Review quotes and estimates with the construction project team
- Addresses estimate exceptions with timely revisions
- Help keep cycle time at or above 80%
- Keep up on industry standards and corporate updates by attending webinars
